SPRING OUTING 16.04.24: A Guided Tour of Legal London
All barristers must belong to one of the four Inns of Court, all of which are in the heart of London where the English legal system was developed.
The tour visited all four of the Inns of Court, all of which are in the heart of London where the English legal system was developed. The weather was bright and sunny with gusts of wind and occasional light showers. We had lunch in the main Hall of the Middle Temple with its splendid hammer beam roof and stained glass windows.
The walk included Middle Temple Lane, Fountain Court, Middle Temple Hall, Inner Temple and its Temple Church, Lincoln’s Inn with its Hall and Library. then to Grays Inn for a brief tour around the grounds.
Anne-Marie Craven is an art historian spent many years doing picture research and running a fine art picture library specialising in art, history and archaeology with some militaria. On retirement she trained as a Blue Badge Guide and does walking tours, even the odd virtual tour during lockdown, concentrating on London and the outskirts. See her website: http://londonwalk.uk
