Cultural Connections - The National Trust visits the Czech Republic

Thursday 26th October 2017 at 6.30p in the Embassy of Slovakia, 25 Kensington Palace Gardens, London W8 4QY.

Christine Sitwell talks about the programme between the National Trust and the NPÚ (the Czech National Heritage Institute) whose aims include exchanging examples of good practice, sharing experiences, broadening staff horizons, gaining objective perspectives of each other’s work. The visits help to develop and benefit the role of curatorial and conservation staff, providing a stimulating opportunity for their careers.

Christine Sitwell is the Paintings Conservation Adviser for the National Trust and is responsible for organising the conservation and technical research on the Trust's collection of over 13,000 paintings.  She is also responsible for advising on the conservation of historic interiors.
