FRIENDS' SUMMER OUTING 16.07.26

Grade-I-listed Standen is an Arts and Crafts house. It was designed between 1891 and 1894 by the architect Philip Webb, a friend of William Morris, for a prosperous London solicitor and his family.

Saint Hill Manor΄s interiors reflect the character and interests of more recent owners, rather than being a perfectly preserved late-eighteenth-century mansion: this makes for a really fascinating visit.
