Heritage Site at Žďár nad Sázavou

Zdar Zelena horaWeb CzT Libor SvácekParticipants will work on the restoration of buildings in the Lower Cemetery (which was in fact never used for burials), built by the famous Baroque architect J. B. Santini-Aichel. No prior skill is required.

During the week there will be the opportunity to visit some of the region’s houses and castles. The UNESCO pilgrimage church of St. John of Nepomuk at Zelená hora forms part of the complex.


Maximim participants per week: 6 people . We will be joined by local volunteers.

Age-group: Age 20+.

Travel: Participants arrange their own fight to Brno where the group will be met and driven to Žďár nad Sázavou.

Accommodation: provided in house belonging to one of the Czech volunteers. A contribution of £100 by participants towards the cost of food, which will be supplied by our hosts is payable in advance.

Insurance is provided for the work, but please note that it is not possible to cover repatriation. Volunteers must have their own travel insurance.
